Moulded to perfection

The moulded cab carpet for the T5 & T6 continues Newton Commercial's journey as the leader in classic car interior trim at the forefront of high quality product development. We have worked tirelessly developing a new range of preformed carpets made to original specification for both old and new classics on the scene, using our knowledge gained through over 40 years of experience in classic car upholstery. Ready to fit over the original rubber floor mats, the preformed cab carpet adds a touch of luxury to the interior of your Transporter. Available in a range of colours in high quality automotive grade carpet, the moulded cab carpet is the perfect upgrade to your van. 

Developing the best

Our Transporter carpet began where all our moulded carpets begin with a van in our Suffolk factory. All our moulded carpets are made using a male and female form and our skilled team take a fibreglass splash from the floorpan of the car so that our moulded carpets fit first time. The benefit of a preformed carpet is that fitting is much easier as the contours of the floor have all been created before you begin fitting into your van.

Once the moulds have been created, we start initial test production back into the Transporter. After trial fitting to three different models from our very own brand new T6 to a sporty looking T5 which helped us make the decision to purchase our own Transporter, we make sure that everything fits as it should. 

A touch of luxury

We know that your van expresses your individual personality and for us the range of bog standard grey board panels available from Volkswagen just doesn't quite cut it. Our range of interior panels use a diamond emboss created using our high frequency welding machine adds a touch of elegance to your camper. The design is the perfect compliment to the range of diamond leather seats available on the market. Available in a range of colours, the panels are available both individually and as part of a complete interior trim kit suitable for a range of combinations from Kombi to Caravelle, Sportline to Highline.

Formed in 1979 by husband and wife team Vera and Richard Newton, Newton Commercial is the industry leader in the manufacture of interior trim and upholstery for classic cars and are celebrating 40 years of experience in the classic car and commercial industry in 2019. A number of our team have been with us for over 25 years and have continued to share their knowledge of manufacturing classic car interior throughout our nearly 60 strong workforce in our Suffolk factory.  We are proud to be the only British Motor Heritage approved trimmer in the world, celebrating quality and an attempt to supply genuine components for classic British cars.
