An ingenious solution to the modern bracket that stops the doors from opening too far, these straps are made from vinyl with a strong nylon fabric sewn inside. They attach to the front of the door and the rear edge of the A panel, about level with the top of the storage bins. The metal plates used to fix these in place, must be retained along with the bolts. Simply punch 4 holes in this strap and then insert the screw bolts through your plates to fit.
Interestingly the MKI Cooper door check straps were in the contrasting colour to the rest of the interior panels, for all other models they matched the panel colour.
