The first Golf was produced in 1974 and since then has become one of the most popular hatchbacks in the world. Known as the Volkswagen Rabbit in Canada and the US, this European car was so popular the Rabbit version of this car began production in Pennsylvania, the first European car to be manufactured in both Europe and the US.
