INNOCENTI MINI MKIII (1970-75) DOOR PANELS

This type of Innocenti door panel was fitted to all cars from October 1970 following the modification by Innocenti of the standard MKIII door design to incorporate opening quarter-lights. The new door trim incorporated a new elasticated map pocket on the drivers' side, a redesign of the clip fixing positions and a new full length moulded plastic door pocket.The plastic door pocket was a novel and unique feature of the Innocenti cars going some way to compensate for the loss of the integral MKI & II door bins, much missed on the UK models and the initial MKIII Innocentis. They were held in place by self tapping screws which also served to steady the bottom of the door panels. Original pockets should be retained and carefully looked after as these were a unique production.
