Early cars had this quite narrow shelf which was situated in front of the steering column. Held in place on the front bulkhead usually with bifurcated rivets and on the front by the metal bar. We believe that there was not a padding kit on this metal bar for this period, however, part number PT723 can be fitted if necessary. The shelf is made from painted and grained Black fibreboard. There has been much discussion by enthusiasts over the years, whether or not the painted side should be on the top or underneath. If you feel that the painted side should be underneath, then please order the RHD shelf part number PT716.
