Visually the MKIII panels used a new weld pattern design which we have recreated. These rear quarter panels will only fit vehicles after 1973 when the body mounted ash tray in the rear pocket was removed. This changes the shape of both the rear quarter panel and the rear pocket liner.
A new smoother more open grained material was also used on the MKIII models, known as 1290 grain which we have available in some of the original colours such as Navy, Black or Autumn Leaf. Other colours are available in the deeper grained vinyl used on the earlier Minis.
