MINI VINYL GEAR LEVER GAITER (REMOTE CONTROL GEAR CHANGE) 1962 - 1973

This gaiter fits all MKI, MKII and early MKIII cars built with the early tunnel arrangement, but fitted with the remote control gear change (i.e. not 'Magic Wand') which brought the gear knob in much easier reach of the driver and made for a faster gear change. This was first seen on the Mini Coopers and was then introduced to the rest of the range, with the basic 850 models and commercials slowest to receive this benefit.

In 1973 the tunnel housing was modified to completely remove the MKI starter housing. This gaiter will not fit any car built after this.
