We have developed the Newton Commercial MX5 windstop with several points in mind. Firstly, the ease of fitting by any customer, its effectiveness of stopping the wind from disturbing the occupants when at speed and lastly easy removal and storage. This item can be fitted to your car in less than 30 minutes and you only require a 10mm spanner or wrench.
If you compare our windstop or wind blockers to others on the market you will see that it is much taller and thus more effective. We have managed this by designing special brackets that fit to one bolt already on the “B” post pillar behind the seats. On the base of the frame we have cleverly attached a mesh skirt which attaches to buttons fitted as standard on the rear carpet area. This skirt will stop any wind from entering the cockpit below the frame itself. There is also a special bracket fitted that will stop the frame from moving forward the faster you go.
The frame itself is of tubular steel and is covered in leather rather than vinyl. The mesh itself is very fine. We have used a wheel system to hold the frame to the brackets for easy adjustment and removal. The whole frame can tilted forward to sit behind the seats when not in use.
